- Space Elevator by Neil Agarwal. An interactive ride in a space elevator.
- The Curious Side Effect of Medical Transparency by Danielle Offri at The New Yorker. A database of questions from Reddit’s r/AskDocs was used to compare physician responses to Chat GPT responses. Evaluators preferred chatbot responses 78.6% of the time, the proportion of responses rated as “good” or “very good” quality was 78.5% for chatbots and 22.1% for physicians. Chatbot responses were also rated 9.8 times more empathetic than physician responses.
- Dead Astronauts by Jeff VanderMeer. Looking at reviews, one can see that VanderMeer’s book is received quite differently. His writing style is definitely abstract and experimental, even more so than in his Annihilation books. But for those fond of weird, dream-like stories about biotech dystopias, this is the right fit.
- The Economic Potential of Generative AI: The Next Productivity Frontier by McKinsey. This report investigates the present and potential of Generative AI, including business opportunities, impacts on industry, implications for workers, and big-picture societal considerations.
